Chapter 4: Schedule Module

[Chang Min]

"Annyeonghaseyo and good morning. This is the 2nd week of the school year. We hope that everybody has settled their class schedules. To anybody who have not settle their schedule, please see Miss Lee Yeon Hee head of the Academic Affairs Department. And to all third year students, your extra-curricular schedules will be out during lunch hour at the cafeteria. Thank you."


[Hyun Joon]

Go Hyun Joon stared at the blackboard and jotted down on his notebook. He stared at his notebook and smiled. He managed to solve the math problem on the blackboard.

"Hyun Joon?" Hyun Joon looked up and saw Mr Jo Kyu Hyun, his Math teacher staring at him. He was about in his late 20s. He was tall and slim. His skin complexion was very fair and smooth. He pushed his black framed spectacles and asked, "What is the answer for this question?" Hyun Joon looked at his notebook and replied, "X equals 9." "Hmm... that's right," said Mr Jo Kyu Hyun as he wrote the answer on the blackboard.

Then, the bell rang. "Okay, that's all for today. Make sure you complete your homework assigments and hand it in tomorrow," advised Mr Jo Kyu Hyun. Hyun Joon packed all his things into his backpack and made his way out of the classroom along with his classmates.

As he walked along the hallway, he heard a voice calling his name. He turned around and saw Alam moving towards him. "Hyung! Annyeonghaseyo," he greeted as he bowed to Alam. Alam smiled and asked, "How's class?" "Okay, so far," Hyun Joon replied. "Aquinas Brigade's first meeting is today. Are you coming?" asked Alam. "Ne, I have to," replied Hyun Joon. "Okay, I'll see you later," said Alam as he left Hyun Joon standing at the hallway.

[Sofia, Aris, Shin Dong, Han Kyung, Ryeo Wook, Dong Hae]

It was lunch time and all of the third year students were trying to view the cafeteria's notice board for the schedule. Sofia, Aris, Shin Dong and Han Kyung were at the back of the crowd trying to squeeze their way to view the notice board but failed. Upset, they returned to their seats.

"Can't view the schedule?" asked Ryeo Wook as he drank his milk. "You think?" replied Aris with an annoyed tone. "Don't worry," comforted Dong Hae. "You can always view later after school," he continued. "Hmm... okay. I suppose," lamented Sofia. "So, what are you guys joining?" asked Ryeo Wook curiously. "Aquinas Brigade and Dance," replied Han Kyung. "Me too," said Sofia. Ryeo Wook's eyes widened. "Did you say Aquinas Brigade?" he asked. "Yeah. Why?" replied Sofia. "Umm... nothing. Just asking," said Ryeo Wook. "Aquinas Brigade? Not for us. Aris and I are joining Dance and Young Enterprenuer Society," said Shin Dong. Both Dong Hae and Ryeo Wook raised an eyebrow. "You guys? Seriously?" asked Dong Hae in disbelief.

"Yeah. We even have ideas on what product that we are going to sell," said Aris. "Let me guess. You guys are going to set up a joke shop?" asked Han Kyung. Both Aris and Shin Dong's mouth opened. "How did you....." stammered Aris.

"Chogiyo!"

Aris, Han Kyung, Shin Dong and Sofia turned around and saw Nickhun standing behind them. "Don't do that!" they scolded Nickhun. "Mianhae," apologised Nickhun. "So, any of you in the Aquinas Dance team?" Sofia replied, "Uhh... all of us." Nickhun smiled menacingly and said, "Tomorrow, 5pm, Alpha Gymnasium. Sports attire. Be punctual. Bring your own drinks." He looked at Sofia and said, "You, ponytail or bun." Then he left to join his friends. "He's weird," said Aris.

"Hyun Ae! Han Kyung!"

Everybody at the table looked up and saw Jae Joong and Chang Min at their table. "Jae Joong sunbae! Chang Min!" they cried. They stood up and bowed. Both Jae Joong and Chang Min bowed back. Jae Joong turned to Chang Min and said, "I'll be at the table over there." "Okay," said Chang Min. Jae Joong proceeded to move towards the table at the back of the cafeteria. As he passed by, everybody moved aside to let him pass. When Jae Joong was finally seated, everybody continued as theyw ere before Jae Joong entered.

"What kind of aura that he possess? It's as if.... everybody worships him or something," complained Aris. Ryeo Wook looked at Aris and asked, "And you've been in Aquinas for how long? A day?" Aris bit his lips and replied, "A year, Wookie." Ryeo Wook smirked and said, "One thing about Jae Joong is that everybody in Aquinas not only respect him, the adore his every bits. Not just by the students, but also the teachers and the staffs. They are very proud of him. He was an Honour Student since 1st year. That's what made him what he is now. Ever since he became the Student Council President, he is even more respected than before." "But why is he so.... cold?" asked Sofia. "Hyun Ae yah, Jae Joong sunbae just appear cold but deep inside, he is a very caring person," chirped Chang Min. "Anyway, I'm joining Aquinas Brigade and Science Club. What about you guys?" he asked. They proceeded to tell Chang Min the activities that they signed up. "Oh, have you guys seen the schedule?" asked Chang Min. "No, not yet," replied Shin Dong. "There's still to many people," lamented Han Kyung as he looked towards the notice board that was flooded by students.

"Don't worry," said Chang Min. He took out a small notebook from his pocket and put it on the table. "It's all in here," said Chang Min. Aris and Shin Dong's mouth opened again as they flipped open the notebook. Dong Hae, Ryeo Wook and Han Kyung laughed. "I should've run for Student Council," said Han Kyung as he took out a notebook from his backpack and copied the schedule down with Sofia. "Well, that's the perks of being a part of Student Council," said Chang Min. "Done," chanted Han Kyung and Sofia as they passed the notepad to Aris and Shin Dong. Aris and Shin Dong copied the schedule hastily. When they were done, they returned it to Chang Min. "Kamsahamnida!" they said altogether. "You're welcome," said Chang Min. He took the notepad and waved goodbye to them as he left the table.

"Sofia, look," whispered Han Kyung as he pointed towards a table in front of them. Sofia looked to wards the table. She saw Hyun Joon and Alam sitting at the table together. She saw that Hyun Joon was looking at her. "Guys, I'm done and I'm going off now," said Sofia as she got up. "I'll follow," said Han Kyung as he got up with Sofia. Aris threw placed his tray over Han Kyung's. "Please?" begged Aris as he flashed a silly smile. Han Kyung rolled his eyes and left with Hyun Ae. "Dude, you're so bad," said Dong Hae. "Since when Aris is good?" asked Ryeo Wook sarcastically. Shin Dong snorted.

Sofia and Han Kyung walked and passed the table that Hyun Joon and Alam sat. They glanced at Hyun Joon only to find that their eyes met. As soon as they reached the rubbish bin, they began to seperate their rubbish from recycables to non-recycables. "Did Hyun Joon just looked at us?" asked Sofia as she threw a plastic bottle into the plastic recycle bin. "Maybe. That was scary," replied Han Kyung. as he threw the food waste into the food waste bin. "I know. And, we're meeting him later at 5pm," said Sofia. After that, they proceeded to placed the trays at the tray bin and left the cafeteria.
