[Sofia]
"Sofia!" 21-year-old Kim Ki Bum @ Asyraf called out from downstairs. A few minutes later, 15-year-old Sofia @ Kim Hyun Ae descended the staircase wearing a full school uniform. When she got down, Asyraf giggled.
"Mwuo?!" she asked.
"Nothing, sis. It's just...." he pointed towards Sofia and continued, "I thought girls wear skirts to school. You're wearing pants!" He bursted out laughing.
Sofia's face turned red. "Their skirts are too short," she replied. Asyraf continued to laugh. Sofia got so irritated that she slapped Asyraf's back.
"Owww!" cried Asyraf as he rubbed his back. "Yah, that hurts!" he scolded.
"Mianhae, oppa," apologised Sofia.
"Araso. Now, let's go. We're going to be late," said Asyraf as they made their way outside.
[Ryeo Wook]
16-year-old Kim Ryeo Wook ran down the stairs. He looked at his watch and said, "Aish, I'm going to be late!" He quickly made his way to the kitchen. His mother saw him and said, "Ryeo Wook ah, have something to eat first."
She handed him a glass of milk which he drank quickly. She put her hand on his shoulder and said, "Wait" as she showed him a brown paper bag. "Take this. I know that you're running late so I packed some sandwiches for you," she explained as she handed him the bag.
"Thanks, eomma," he said as he made his way outside. His mother shook her head and sighed. "Kids...." she muttered.
Ryeo Wook walked along the row of houses in his neighbourhood. Suddenly, he flashed a worried look on his face and ran. "Wait for me!" he cried.
It turned out that he almost missed the bus. He entered the bus, paid the fees and made his way to the back of the bus where he found a comfortable place to sit.
When he reached his destination, he pressed the button at the side of the bus telling the bus to stop. He bowed to the bus driver and got out.
"Ryeo Wook ah!" Ryeo Wook turned and saw 16-year-old Dong Hae running towards his direction. Dong Hae grabbed his shoulder and said, "Long time no see. How was your final year break?"
Ryeo Wook smiled and replied, "Break's fine. Pretty boring though." He looked at Dong Hae's unkempt hair and said, "How's yours? I heard you've been busy?"
Dong Hae replied, "Yeah, I was. Been juggling plenty of part-times. The money's fine by the way. I can finally buy a new guitar to replace the old one that had been stolen."
[Sofia]
Sofia studied the map of Aquinas Academy as she walked along the academy's area. She looked around the academy and studied the map again. Suddenly, she saw a male student fell from his bicycle. She ran towards him and helped him up.
"Are you okay?" asked Sofia as she picked up some books that the male student dropped. He helped himself up and replied, "Yes." He beat off some dirt that was on his blazer and proceeded to lift up his bicycle and stabilized it .
Sofia handed him the books. He took them and put them in basket that was attached to his bicycle.
"Kamsahamnida," he said. He looked at Sofia and raised an eyebrow. Sofia looked down and back at his face and said, "The skirts are way too short for me." He shrugged. "It's okay," he said. "You look new here," he said.
"Yeah, I am. I'm from Malaysia. My name is Nurul Sofia Izzati. I have a Korean name which is Kim Hyun Ae. You can call me Hyun Ae or Sofia. I'm cool with it."
The male student smiled and said, "Nice to meet you, Sofia. My name is Han Geng but you can call me Han Kyung."
"Nice to meet you, Han Kyung," said Sofia as they both shake their hands as a sign of friendship.
"Cool. So, where are you heading to?" asked Han Kyung. Sofia showed him the map and replied, "I need to go to the Head of Student Affairs' office."
"Oh, follow me. I'm need to go to the library and it's basically on the same floor as the office," said Han Kyung.
[Aris and Shin Dong]
"Hurry up, Dong! We're going to be late," said Aris. Shin Dong ran up the stairs and panted. "First day.... of..... school.... and we're... late," panted Shin Dong as he cantered along the hallway.
Aris did not say anything. He looked at the classrooms on his side and exclaimed, "Ah-hah! Here we are." He proceeded to push the door and entered with Shin Dong.
As they entered, they saw a few students talking to their friends. "Aris ah, I guess we're not late after all," said Shin Dong.
They proceeded to take their respective seats which were at the back of the class. "I wonder who will be our English teacher," said Shin Dong.
Aris took out his schedule and said, "Hmm... according to this schedule, it will be some new teacher... uhh... Miss Song Hye Gyo. I wonder who's she."
Suddenly, a woman in her mid 20s entered the classroom. All the boys stopped and stared at her beauty. She had a fair skin, almond eyes and a pointed nose. Her hair was tied into a ponytail with a few curls fell nicely on her back. She wore a black framed spectacles and a coral lipgloss.
"She's hot!" whispered Aris to Shin Dong. "I could stare at her all day," said Shin Dong.
"Annyeonghaseyo, class," she greeted. "Annyonghaseyo, songsaengnim," the students greeted.
She smiled and proceeded to write on the black board. She wrote in both Hangul and English alphabets. "My name is Song Hye Gyo. S-O-N-G, SA-OH-NGA (ㅅ - ㅗ - ㅇ). Song (송). Hye. H-Y-E, HA-YEH (ㅎ - ㅖ). Hye (혜). Gyo. G-Y-O, GA-YOH (ㄱ - ㅛ). Gyo (교). You can call me Miss Song. Any questions?"
"No, Miss Song," replied the whole class. Miss Song smiled and proceeded to take a seat on the chair right next to her. As she landed on the chair, suddenly......
BOOOOOSHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Miss Song stood up and found a whoopee cushion on the chair. She picked it up and waved it in the air saying, "Who did this?"
Everyone was quiet, including Aris and Shin Dong. Miss Song walked around the classroom and glared at every students that she passed.
Suddenly, a boy stood up and exclaimed, "It's Aris and Shin Dong, miss!" while pointing towards Aris and Shin Dong's direction. Aris and Shin Dong's mouth opened. Miss Song moved towards Aris and Shin Dong. She waved the whoopee cushion to them. Both Aris and Shin Dong stood up, bowed their heads and said, "Mianhae, Miss."
Miss Song flashed them a cynical smile and said, "Don't do this again, boys. This is my first day. Don't make me give you guys detentions or punishments on my first day. Do I make myself clear, boys?" "Ne, miss," they both replied. "Good. Now, sit down," she said as she made her way to the front of the class.
